THE COMMITTEE OF THE REGIONS

The Committee of the Regions (CoR) is the political assembly that allows local and regional Authorities to express their views within the European Union. Created in 1994, the CoR must be consulted by the European Commission and the Council in the areas that have repercussion at regional or local level: economic and social cohesion, trans-European infrastructure networks, health, education and culture, employment policy, the environment, vocational training and transport.
