EUROPEAN OMBUDSMAN
One of the rights of the European citizens is to present complaints to the European Ombudsman. This figure investigates complaints related to the ‘maladministration’ in the European Union Institutions and bodies. The European Ombudsman cannot take complaints regarding national, regional or local administrations of the Member States. The Ombudsman is elected for the entire Parliament’s legislative term.
European citizens can contact the Ombudsman directly to address their complaints.
